FIX A SHOT / ONE CHANGE AT A TIME
Record what happened. Change one thing. Say if the next cup was Better, Same, or Worse. Then use that result to choose what to try next.

Dose means dry coffee in the basket. Yield means espresso in the cup. The puck is the packed coffee bed. Channeling means water taking uneven paths through it. Enter what you measured and tasted.

HOW TO USE THE RESULT
Time helps you compare shots when you also measure coffee in and espresso out. Extraction yield means how much coffee dissolves into the drink. Time does not prove even flow or tell you what you will like.
The receipt gives one next change and lists what to keep the same. Better, Same, or Worse tells you whether to keep, undo, or redirect that change.
The tool can calculate the brew ratio and average flow. It cannot see the puck, measure dissolved solids, certify the machine, or confirm channeling from a checkbox.

Research, manufacturer guidance, practical guides, and standards context stay separate. None of these sources is a physical test by Espresso Receipt.
Supports the nonuniform-flow warning at very fine settings; it does not diagnose an individual puck.
(opens in a new tab)Supports interactions among flow, particle size, temperature, and brew ratio; it does not provide a universal sensory recipe.
(opens in a new tab)Supports recording dose, beverage mass, time, and taste and using grind as a controlled lever; its time bands are reference bands, not pass-fail standards.
(opens in a new tab)Supports separating strength, extraction, yield, and evenness; it remains a practitioner framework rather than an individual measurement.
