Cookie policy

How Espresso Receipt uses browser storage and may use essential, measurement, and affiliate-attribution technologies.

Updated U.S. edition

The short version

The launch finder uses local storage on your device to remember answers. Local storage is not a cookie, but it is a similar browser technology. Our host may use strictly necessary security or delivery technologies. Google Analytics sets first-party measurement cookies when the page loads. Espresso Receipt does not set advertising cookies or operate ad-retargeting at launch.

Technology categories

Finder storage

Purpose: restore your inputs and result on the same browser. Location: first-party local storage. Duration: until cleared or replaced.

Essential delivery

Purpose: route traffic, protect the service, prevent abuse, and maintain availability. Provider: site hosting and security infrastructure.

Measurement

Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate page use and product events without cookies. Google Analytics measures page use, acquisition, finder completion, result sharing, source opens, and outbound-product events. Its _ga and _ga_<container-id> first-party cookies distinguish visitors and preserve session state; Google lists a default expiration of two years. Speed Insights may measure aggregate Web Vitals when enabled.

Affiliate attribution

A merchant may set its own cookie after you choose an affiliate link so it can attribute a qualifying transaction under its policy.

Your controls

Browser settings can clear or block cookies and site storage. Clearing local storage removes saved finder answers. Blocking measurement may reduce analytics without preventing the finder from working. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Retailer controls apply after you leave Espresso Receipt for a third-party site.

The U.S.-directed launch loads measurement when the page loads and does not show a general consent banner. We will revisit controls and this policy before entering additional jurisdictions or introducing technology that requires additional choice or notice under applicable law.
