The 6.25-inch-wide Bambino creates the most lateral room among the fully dimensioned launch machines. The Gaggia E24 is 8 inches wide and the Dedica Maestro Plus is 8.15 inches wide, but the whole setup must also include grinder width, operational depth, hopper or reservoir access, and working separation.
This page compares published specifications, prices, and disclosed models. It does not claim hands-on testing unless a specific statement is labeled “Observed.” Price is a dated snapshot, not a guarantee.
Width is only one axis
A narrow machine can still be deep, require front clearance for a portafilter, or need vertical space to remove a water tank. Grinder hopper access and dosing workflow can become the limiting dimension under cabinets.
How our counter model works
Modeled setup width equals machine width plus grinder width plus 1.5 inches of working separation. Depth uses the larger appliance depth and prefers an explicitly published with-portafilter measurement. Height uses the taller appliance. We do not invent unresolved dimensions.
Measure the work, not the storage photo
Measure cabinet height, wall clearance, open-hopper height, reservoir removal path, portafilter handle swing, and the place a milk pitcher or scale will sit. A machine that technically occupies the rectangle can still be miserable to operate.

Questions, answered
What is the narrowest machine in the catalog?
The current fully dimensioned launch catalog lists the Breville Bambino at 6.25 inches wide.
How much space should be left between machine and grinder?
The model uses 1.5 inches as a disclosed working allowance, but handles, cords, side-fill access, and your workflow may require more.
Why is the Bambino Plus excluded from counter ranking?
Its current U.S. page exposes two conflicting dimension sets. We suppress the counter-fit claim until a region-matched source resolves the conflict.
